This place just recently opened last month, and their jasmine tea with sea salt cream is great + refreshing, better yet you can get it for free when you download and register on their app! Not sure if they might change the drinks up in the future, but for now it’s either coffee with sea salt cream or jasmine tea with sea salt cream. We also tried their chocolate mousse cake, and they provide candles + a cake cutter. The chocolate cake was really rich, the way I would describe the flavor would be similar to Royce’ Nama chocolate, just a little more bread-y of course. 🍫 All in all, great drinks + great service + great bakery.
I’m so excited they’re opening a location here! The pastries are delicious—not overly sweet—and much more affordable than many local bakeries. Their drink selection is great too, with a variety of coffee, blended drinks, and milk teas. So far, my favorites are the sea salt coffee and the 85°C iced coffee, but there’s still so much more to try. Be sure to download their app—they offer random rewards and discounts you can use after the grand opening. I even got a free large sea salt coffee just for signing up! Right now, they’re still in their soft opening phase with limited hours (9 AM–5 PM). I do hope they extend their hours in the future—early birds like me would love to grab pastries and coffee to share with coworkers before the workday starts.
I’m from Taiwan and when I lived there I regularly visited 85 degree cafe. Very happy to have access to one here in Niles. I love adding boba to my lattes and I know I can trust the bobas quality here. The egg tarts are to die for (esp after warming up in toaster oven) and my family likes milk bread and other pastries. The Pork Sun Bun is a Taiwan classic and I’m happy to see they offer it here too. Be there early if you want to have better selection of baked goods, as things tend to run out quickly.
Oct 1st Wed visit Noon time Very yum Pastries and New Fresh yum drinks yes. Matcha pumpkin latte and sea salt caramel coffee. Yes did enjoyed it. There was neighbor customer confused my drinks for hers. Told this person look at receipt number says clearly. Watch out other customers can pick up your drinks. Be careful on that. Highly recommend to visit. Try visit Earlier Decent time. Many items be In stock.
When I arrived right before closing, there were only two kinds of bread left, so I bought some to take home. Then I couldn’t resist when I saw the cakes in the store and ended up buying two as well. The overall taste was amazing—not overly sweet, with a great texture. I absolutely loved it! The only downside is that I live a bit far away; otherwise, I would visit all the time.
Sweeeeeet spot for delicious drinks and savory eats. Must visit if you are in the area!! Last time I we visited a 85 bakery was in Cali, so having one in Niles, IL is a treat not to be missed. 💜💜💜
Great pastry! This place is quite busy. All their pastries are gone within a few minutes after bringing them out. I got there at 9.19am. 19 minutes after opening time, there was by any pastry left. So, I kind of hanging in there waiting for them to refill pastry. I was there for about half an hour. I god a good amount of variety pastry. I like most of it except cooking. I think it’s a little too sweet for me. Other than that everything else is tasty, soft and dense. Definitely going back again
So far so good. Lines have not been overbearing. Drinks are made quickly. The recommended salted caramel iced coffee tasted great. With no modifications, the sweetness is just right. Pastries I got, giava croissant and pesto(?) was crispy on the outside and melts in your mouth.
85°C Bakery Café is hands down one of my favorite places to grab pastries and coffee. They truly have some of the best pastries I’ve ever tasted—super sweet, soft, and always fresh. The variety is impressive, from savory buns to sweet cakes, and everything pairs perfectly with their famous sea salt coffee. The only tip I’d give is to come early, because the mornings are always packed and popular items sell out fast. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is clean and welcoming, and every visit feels worth it. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to!
